Small Business Approach to the HealthCare Reform Act
So what do the new healthcare reform regulations mean to me as a business owner and entrepreneur? One thing is certain: small business owners will need careful planning to successfully navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by health reform.
Much is being written on the provisions of the $940 billion legislation which includes more than $400 billion in revenue raisers and new taxes on employers and individual. In fact, hundreds of organizations, websites, articles, conferences, and other communication vehicles are dedicated to unraveling the implications and to interrupting the new healthcare reform regulations.
It's true that many companies will have to absorb additional costs, which they do every year anyway when health insurance premiums go up. But well-run companies excel at solving problems. That's what these organizations successful. As business owners and entrepreneurs, we seek opportunities to outcompete bigger firms that can't manage challenges like this.
